「それ、骨みたいやな！」

The mask frame "MASKBONE", which supports the center of the mask with a line, was born from the idea of what a town factory manufacturing molds for plastics could do with COVID-19 pandemic.

プラスチック用金型製造の町工場がコロナ禍でできることを考えて生まれた、マスクの中心を線で支えるマスクフレーム「マスクのほね®」。

The Osaka plastic mold factory, which has received numerous awards including the "Master Craftsman of Naniwa" award, planned this project to see if there was anything they could do to help the Corona disaster. The unique name was born from the president's comment after seeing the product.

「なにわの名工」など数々の受賞歴を誇る大阪のプラスチック用金型の町工場が、このコロナ禍に役に立てることはないかと考えて企画。一度聞いたら忘れないユニークな名前は、製品をみた社長の一言から生まれました。

The "MASKBONE" was originally planned by an Osaka-based factory that boasts the top share in the domestic market for manufacturing toothbrush molds, and thought that they could use their technology to help people in need of help with the Corona disaster.

「マスクのほね®」は、もともとは歯ブラシ用の金型製造で国内トップシェアを誇る大阪の町工場が、コロナ禍に自分たちの技術を活かして何か困っている方の役に立てることはないかと考えて企画したもの。

When the president of our company saw the elongated shape of the molded white plastic, he said, "That looks like a bone! We named it with the hope that it would bring a smile to the faces of people at various workplaces with its humorous name, which is typical of a town factory in Osaka.

白いプラスチックを成形した細長い形状をみた弊社社長の「それ、骨みたいやな！」というひと言から、大阪の町工場らしいユーモアのあるネーミングでさまざまな現場の方々にクスッと笑ってもらえたらという想いで名づけました。

The "MASKBONE" is a smart shape that supports the center of the non-woven mask with a single line.
「マスクのほね®」は不織布マスクの中心を一本の線で支えるスマートなかたち。

The mask can be attached with a one-touch operation by hooking on both ends of the mask, and the frame supports the mask to create a space inside, making it comfortable without touching the mouth area.

マスクの両端にフックをかけてワンタッチで装着でき、フレームでマスクを支えることで内側に空間を作り、口まわりに触れることがなく快適です。

医療の現場はもちろん、対面での販売や美容院などのサービス、工場の製造ラインといった現場で働いている方々はマスクの着用が義務となっており、マスクが口まわりにピタッと密着していると息苦しかったり中が蒸れたりして余計なストレスがかかります。

「マスクのほね」は10本セット、50本セット、100本セットの3タイプ。医療の最前線で働く方々はもちろん、販売・接客・製造の現場で働く方々にぜひ役立ててほしいという想いから、職場でまとめて導入いただくことを想定したセットとなっております。

There are three types of "MASKBONE": 10-piece sets, 50-piece sets, and 100-piece sets. The sets are designed to be introduced in bulk at workplaces, with the hope that they will be useful not only to those working on the front lines of medicine, but also to those working in sales, customer service, and manufacturing.

 It feels less like wearing mask due to the air pocket created with the bone inside. The bone itself is very soft to the touch and flexible.Only takes a few seconds to attach both sides, and there are several sizes to adjust for varying widths.With the mask bone, there is more room to breathe as opposed to many standard masks, which closely press against the face - especially in the humid weather that Japanese summer is notorious for.
マスクのほねの中に空間が生まれる事により、マスクをしているような感覚がありません。
マスクのほね自体とても柔らかく、柔軟性があります。
また、両面を装着するのに数秒しかかからず、幅も数種類のサイズから選べます。
特に日本の夏のような湿度の高い気候では、顔に密着する一般的なマスクとは異なり、マスクのほねを使用することで呼吸のためのスペースが確保されるので、非常に素晴らしいです。

Bones = support for the center
骨＝中心を支えるもの

The human spine is an important part of the body. Also, as there are words such as "boneless person" and "boneless", there is an image of bones = something that supports the center of the body. The image of a mask being supported in three dimensions by a single frame passing through the center of the mask fits perfectly with this image of bones.

ヒトの背骨はからだを支える大切なもの。また「骨のない人」「骨抜きにする」などの言葉があるように、骨＝中心を支えるもの、というイメージがあります。マスクの中心に一本フレームを通すことでマスクを立体的に支えるイメージは、この骨のイメージにもぴったりと合います。
